PAUL DALLAGHANCo-Owner & Co-Founder In addition to running Samahita, Paul continues to teach yoga internationally while also researching its effects with an empirical scientific approach based on an original textual study. He recently conducted a large clinical study as a PhD scholar at Emory University. As a scientist, educator and entrepreneur he drives the evolution of Samahita and its teachings, while still drawing from deep traditions of yoga and healthy living. | ||
GILL BREETZKEGill was born in South Africa and has lived abroad in the UK, Ireland and Asia. She began her international teaching career, working in inner-city London schools, supporting children from challenging backgrounds, then on to Dublin and Yangon. Koh Samui is now her home where she combines her love of yoga and music in this unique transformational place. She began her daily practise of yoga in 2004, training with Paul Dallaghan and Richard Freeman, and is A Yoga Alliance (500RYT) and 1100 hour Centred Yoga Certified teacher. Samahita has always been a welcoming, transformative space for her and in early 2016 she was grateful to fully embrace this magical place and call it home. | ||
DANIEL STRINGERDaniel began practising Yoga in his home town Bristol in the UK in 2003. After travelling to Mysore, India in 2006 to learn Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga he was led to Samahita in Koh Samui where he found his primary teacher Paul Dallaghan, an inspiring man with whom Daniel felt a deeper connection. He spent 10 years teaching in the vibrant yoga scene of Hong Kong at numerous studios including Pure Yoga and remains connected to the community. This was also a time of cross-discipline learning and experimentation with yoga practice and teaching. | ||
SARAH PIERROZSarah has travelled to Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean basin and Asia for over a decade. Making Egypt and then Italy her home, she was able to learn different approaches to relating to our environment and ourselves, how to promote non-violence and foster different forms of creative expression. Sarah most recently taught art, photography, and environmental science at United World College near Venice, which focuses on promoting peace, intercultural understanding and sustainable development. She is grateful to have found an anchor at Samahita Retreat along the way. She completed a Centered Yoga Teacher training in 2011 and has continued her studies in pranayama, yoga and Buddhist philosophy, and practical meditation techniques in more depth, under the guidance of Paul Dallaghan and Sri. O.P. Tiwari. Sarah has over 1100 Centred Yoga Teacher Training hours, is certified as a TRX Personal Trainer and Schwin Spin Instructor. | ||
SO DIAWPRADITSo was born and raised in Koh Phanghan, Thailand. He has been at Samahita since 2009 and in addition to supporting their guests in wellness programmes, he enjoys helping others reach their fitness goals. His vast experience in fitness and free-weight training, bodyweight resistance training, TRX, kettlebells, and passion for sports, such as Muay Thai, Football and running, will help you have an enjoyable and challenging session. So trained in Bangkok and is certified as an ACE Personal Fitness Trainer since 2014. He has worked with all types of fitness levels and can help you have an effective training experience. So has also spent time living in a temple on Koh Phanghan, and where he learned traditional Thai vipassana meditative techniques and enjoys teaching walking meditations to others and how to live from the mind and heart. | ||
ARIELLE NASHArielle has spent nearly 20 years studying the human body, its performance and factors that contribute to wellness. Her passion and knowledge led her to a decade long career training athletes and educating fitness professionals. Arielle has been teaching yoga since 2004 and she holds a degree in Kinesiology, along with certifications in Mysofascial Compression Techniques©, Strength & Conditioning, and Nutrition & Wellness. After graduating from Centred Yoga’s Teacher Training in 2005 with Paul, she returned to Koh Samui every year to deepen her practice and study before making it her home in 2013. Her primary teachers are Paul Dallaghan and Sharath R. Jois. Arielle is Centred Yoga’s lead anatomy educator, teaching anatomy for continuing education courses and teacher training at Samahita. | ||
ELONNE STOCKTONElonne has been a committed yoga practitioner and devotee since the early age of 14. She has lived and taught in the Bahamas, Canada, India, the United States, and Taiwan where she has taught asana, pranayama, and meditation at yoga studios, ashrams, resorts, schools, orphanages, hospitals, and clinics. In 2006, Elonne moved to Asia, where she met her teachers, Paul Dallaghan, O.P. Tiwari, and Richard Freeman. As Elonne’s understanding of the practice grows, she feels more and more like a beginner, and she is excited to continue this journey. Elonne only teaches during Centred Yoga courses. |
