Revital Detox Diet and Revital Biolight Menu
11/02/2021, Palace MeranoThe Revital Detox Diet and Revital Biolight Menu are the two diet programmes that form the starting point before the personalisation of each guest’s diet, at the beginning of the detox, after the medical and dietary assessments have been carried out on site. To find out more about these two diets available at Palace Merano read below:
REVITAL DETOX DIET
The goal of this low-calorie diet is the deep purification of the body with the consequent rebalancing of body functions and recovery of vital energy. Designed in synergy with the treatments provided by the Revital Detox programme, it aims for psychophysical wellbeing, the elimination of toxins and excess fluids with consequent weight loss.
The proposed menu is mainly vegetarian and based on fresh, organic and seasonal products, whose flavour is enhanced by the use of aromatic herbs and spices. The menu is free of milk and dairy products, meat, salt, coffee, alcohol, sugar and refined products but rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fibre. Subject to medical consultation, this programme also includes a "liquid diet day".
REVITAL BIOLIGHT MENU
The Revital Biolight menu offers healthy and Mediterranean-style light dishes, inspired and prepared with healthy and innovative methods such as “sous-vide” in order to preserve the organoleptic properties of the nutrients. The menu is presented in "wellness portions" and can be considered as a valid model of a healthy and balanced diet to be adopted in normal daily life.
FOOD PHILOSOPHY AT PALACE MERANO
One of the key things at Palace Merano is to ensure that for the programmes to be truly effective the diet of the client is personalised according to their body type to achieve the maximum benefit from the programme treatments. There are many variables that contribute to diet personalisation, some of which are:
- Guest's health goals,
- Eating habits and lifestyle (e.g.sedentary or active),
- Food tastes and preferences,
- Food allergies and / or intolerances,
- Blood tests (e.g. liver, pancreatic and renal functions),
- Diabetic disorders,
- Intestinal diseases (e.g. diverticulitis) or celiac disease.
- Analysis of bone density
- Measurement of fat body mass and lean body mass
All of these are checked at Palace Merano and are important parameters that form the basis of your personalised dietary menu.
Detox and prevention are the pillars of their dietary programmes, which aim to promote longevity and well-being thanks to a diet rich in antioxidants and natural products that support the body's defence processes against free radicals, slowing down cellular deterioration and strengthening the body’s functions.
Dietary regimes may vary according to the needs of each individual. With this in mind, it is not possible to generalise and give value to daily calories. Many variables (e.g. allergies/intolerances / specific blood analysis) contribute to the diet formulation to be followed during the detox week but above all, at home and after the treatments.
The focus of the nutritionists is to analyse guest's dietary needs and help improve their long-term wellbeing with expert advice on maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.
