DR CARLO BARBIERI

Head of Medicine

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Verona in 1983, in 1986 he spent his first 6-month period at the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Beijing. Back to Italy, he won two two-years scholarships in the medical scientific project on the application of acupuncture in the departments of Civil Hospital Analgesic Therapy of Padua and Vicenza. During 1988 -1990, Doctor Barbieri returned to China and attended the Academy of Harbin, Manchuria where he obtained the specialisation. Back to Italy, he becomes professor at MACME (Medical Association for Chinese Medicine in Europe) and opened two studios in Milan and London, where he joins the British Acupuncture Council. In 2008 he graduated at University "La Sapienza" of Rome in the MA "Integration of Western medicine with Eastern Medicine" and began working with Lefay SPA, where he currently holds the position of chief medical expert in Chinese Acupuncture.

DR STEFANIA DORIA

Stefania Doria is a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and acupuncturist, and is committed to a personal and patient-centred approach. Thanks to the experience she has acquired in the medical field, her knowledge of Oriental/Ayurvedic medicine and integrated medicine she is able to explore, and evaluate with the patient, the most suitable therapies for achieving a state of wellbeing. She is manager and medical director of the Studio Medico Quantico in Milan. Within her Centre she has several collaborators trained and specialised in other fields such as: Nutritionist, holistic medicine doctor, Yoga therapist, Massophysiotherapist, Psychologist specialised in clinical hypnosis, TMS for treatment of addictions.

DR BARBARA GAVAZZI

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in Milan, during her four-year residency Barbara Gavazzi trained in Chinese Medicine (acupuncture) at the MACME. (Medical Association for Chinese Medicine in Europe). She then trained in China at the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Harbin and at Xi Yuan Hospital in Beijing. Back in Italy, she trained in Psychotherapy at the Li.S.T.A School in Milan, with a thesis on the correlations between Chinese Medicine and Jung’s Analytical Psychology. For years Barbara has dedicated herself to the comparative study of Chinese Medicine and depth psychology, researching their similarities and potential for treatment.
