Combining nature’s bounty with Six Senses’ spa excellence, Northern Portugal's Six Senses Douro Valley is just the place for a spoiling, rejuvenating break.
Exquisitely designed and firmly rooted in its landscape, the Spa offers lots of possibilities – 10 treatment rooms, an organic pharmacy, indoor pool, Yoga and Pilates pavilions, a gym and some custom-built Ayurveda rooms. Food also plays a very important role in Douro Valley's wellness philosophy with some of the ingredients for their delicious and healthy dishes coming from their very own organic garden.
There are mountain bikes and kayaking with which to explore the local area, mediation pods to zone-out in, and clever gadgets which perform wellness screenings, sleep diagnostics and skin analysis. But this is Six Senses after all, so you can expect some deep reaching programmes, with, for maximum impact, shamanic healing in tandem with mitochondrial analysis.

Quinta Superior
These generously-sized rooms have a very modern yet cozy atmosphere with a spacious seating area and bathroom. They offer views of the pebbled terrace, vineyards or courtyard. Several of the vineyard-facing rooms also have a terrace with seating.
Valley Superior
There are two Valley Superior rooms, one with a bathtub. Both have access to the shared lounge with a cozy fireplace located on the ground floor. Outside, there are fragrant gardens planted with native shrubs, leading down to a vitality pool and shared swimming pool.

Quinta Deluxe
These oversized units are located in the new wing and include a comfortable reading and sitting area and a spacious bathroom. Some of the rooms face the valley and others have a large floor-to-ceiling window with views over the wonderful woodland. They all have easy access to an elevator. Rooms with terraces have steps to the outside with a small seating area.
Vineyard Deluxe
Located on the exclusive vineyard wing, these rooms have a spacious living room area and enjoy precious privacy. Vineyard Deluxe rooms on the fourth floor have a spacious outside terrace with a large seating space and dining area. Vineyard Deluxe rooms on the fifth floor offer views across the vineyard.
Quinta River
Featuring a contemporary décor wedded to the Six Senses natural style and a nod to a past era, plus delightful river views, these rooms offer a generous 495 to 538 square feet (46 to 50 square meters). They present a different layout that includes a reading and seating area plus a very spacious bathroom. Some rooms have a private balcony or terrace.
Valley Premier
The Valley Premier room leads out to a splendid private terrace and offers a shared lounge with cozy fireplace, shared gardens, shaded gazebo, swimming pool and vitality pool.
Vineyard Premier
The premier rooms are are located in the vineyard wing on the fourth floor, and include a comfortable reading and sitting area and a spacious bathroom. With an oversized Ottoman sofa inside and a large number of comfortable sofas outside on the deck. There is also a dining area with table for private dinners where the only company is the incredible view.

Valley Suite
Located in an immaculately refurbished wine lodge, there are five Valley Suites, three on the ground floor and two on the floor above. All have a spacious living room and a fireplace and some have a terrace or a balcony or a bathtub. One of the suites also has a fully equipped kitchen.
Quinta Suite
These suites offer different layouts to create different experiences. No two are exactly the same: one offers a private balcony and another a panoramic river view. They all, however, enable you to spread out in comfortable and spacious living rooms and bedrooms with a size of up to 699 square feet (65 square meters).

Quinta Duplex Suite
The Quinta Duplex Suites offer a unique layout to create an exclusive experience. The suites have comfortable and spacious living rooms and bedrooms. Both suites present courtyard and vineyard views.

Quinta Panorama Suite
You don't have to look hard to see the hero feature of this suite; it offers one of the best views of the Douro River! The comfortable living room has panoramic windows and there is also a spacious bathroom with double sink and separate bathtub and shower.

Vineyard Suite
These suites have a spacious living room area and enjoy total privacy following the same natural color scheme and contemporary atmosphere of the hotel. Both are located on the fifth floor of the vineyard wing and offer views to the surrounding Vale de Abraão valley.

Valley Master Suite
Located in a former wine lodge, now beautifully refurbished to include a spacious living room area with an open fireplace and an adjacent dining area that extends into a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has an infrared sauna, a bathtub and stunning views over the surrounding vineyards.
Vineyard Rooftop Suite
Located on the top floor of the vineyard wing and overlooking the beautiful Vale Abraão valley, these two suites enjoy total privacy and a very comfortable and contemporary atmosphere. One terrace adjoins the living/dining rooms, and a private wooden bridge connects it to a cozy garden deck with daybed and hot tub, perfect for moments of relaxation and meditation.
Quinta Courtyard Suite
These are located on the fourth floor of an exclusive wing and look out over the Douro River and vineyard below. They feature a bedroom, bathroom with separate toilet, gracious living and dining areas and a beautiful balcony overlooking the river.

Vineyard Garden Suite
Located on the fifth floor of an exclusive wing of the hotel, this suite is ideal if you want to hide away. It includes a separate bedroom, living and dining areas with a generously-sized bathroom on the inside, and a terrace with a hot tub and day bed overlooking the surrounding vineyards on the outside. A wine fridge with a selection of Douro wines is the ultimate luxury for discerning wine lovers.
One Bedroom Pool Villa
This One Bedroom Pool Villa features locally inspired architecture and furnishings, a fully appointed kitchen and a a beautiful fireplace. It also features a heated pool with counter-current machine and a private sundeck with day beds overlooking the vineyard.
