Located in the beautiful Austrian village of Oberau and enjoying a breathtaking Alpine backdrop is the state-of-the-art medical spa - Mount Med Resort.
Available exclusively through Healing Holidays, it has been sensitively constructed on the site of an 850-year-old former monastic farm, using environmentally friendly and sustainable materials to ensure that it blends seamlessly into its surroundings.
However don’t let the idyllic and sybaritic alpine setting fool you - this is a serious medical clinic offering a plethora of programmes and medical diagnostics. Everything is on offer here, from a sleep-recovery programme and medical checks, to weight-loss and detox retreats. There's a programme to help deal with the menopause, and lots of treatments to combat stress and the signs of ageing. All of this is, of course, supported by an assembly of experts; dozens of doctors, nutritionists, physiotherapists and fitness instructors, all on hand to offer specialist guidance and advice.
Food also plays a crucial role in Mount Med's wellness philosophy. The retreat has developed three distinct nutrition plans - Weight Guardian, Health Optimiser & Green Local Hero, with the resort's experts working with guests to determine which is most suitable for each individual. Regular cooking classes are also hosted so guests can learn how to keep eating healthily once they return home.
When not undergoing treatments guests can enjoy Mount Med's various amenities and leisure facilities, with skiing also possible in season.

More than five decades of expertise combine in the Medical Spa where the services of renowned private physicians and consultants, medical practitioners, therapists, coaches and fitness instructors are all available to guests.
LIFE CHANGER SPA
Set over 3,500sqm, amongst the many facilities of the Life Changer Spa are indoor and outdoor pools, 24 treatment rooms, 8 consultation rooms, steam rooms, saunas, an ice room, a Kneipp circuit, and a multi-sensory shower.
Mount Med Resort has developed three different nutrition plans, and after consultation the resort’s experts will work to establish which one is most suitable for each guest, based on their physical and mental requirements.
WEIGHT GUARDIAN DIET
Science-based, this takes a similar approach to the keto diet, adding calorie reduction to induce your body to mimic fasting and stimulate lipid metabolism.
HEALTH OPTIMISER DIET
Predominantly plant-based, this wholefood diet follows the principles of high protein & reduced-carb, with added health-promoting ingredients.
GREEN LOCAL HERO DIET
This is plant-based gourmet cuisine with a healthy nutritional ethos based on sustainably-grown natural food.
